Faith Life Outreach Christian Kathedral

Community Life at FLOCK

FLOCK is a local congregation in Rockledge, Florida, serving Brevard County through a weekly food pantry for the homeless and families in need, monthly community outreach, children's ministry, recovery support, small group discipleship, and leadership training. Everything described on this page happens here, through our own programs and volunteers.

Who we are and why we exist

FLOCK exists to build faith, strengthen families, and serve the community around us. We do that by feeding people who are hungry, going out into the neighborhoods around us with food and support, raising up our children, walking with those in recovery, teaching Scripture plainly, and keeping a door open to anyone in Brevard County who needs help or a place to belong.

Our congregation has served this area since 1996. What began as a small gathering has grown into a church with a pastoral team, a weekly food pantry, children's and recovery ministries, a leadership development pipeline, a network of small groups meeting across the county, and a member-run community board. In 2026 we mark our 30th year.

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. Hebrews 10:24-25, KJV

Our programs and initiatives

These are the ongoing works of the church. Each one is organized, staffed, and run by FLOCK members and leaders.

FLOCK Food Pantry

Food insecurity doesn't announce itself. It shows up quietly, in families stretching a paycheck, seniors choosing between groceries and medication, and neighbors between homes. FLOCK Food Pantry exists to meet that need with dignity and without conditions.

Food assistance. Every week on Sundays and Tuesdays, families can receive groceries on site. No appointment is needed and no proof of membership is required. Come as you are.

Seasonal outreach. Each November we serve a hot Thanksgiving meal to neighbors experiencing homelessness, prepared and served by our members and our children. Through the holidays we partner with Toys for Tots so that local families can give their children a Christmas.

Need help? If you're in need, you're not imposing. That's what this is for.

Want to help? Volunteers are welcome at every distribution and outreach event, and donations of non-perishable items are always needed.

FLOCK Kids

Where children meet Jesus and learn to love people.

Every Sunday, our children gather for a service built entirely for them. They worship, learn Scripture in ways they can hold onto, create, ask questions, and belong to a group of friends who are growing alongside them.

What a Sunday looks like. Children check in with our team, join age-graded groups, and move through worship, a Bible lesson, and small-group discussion led by caring adults. Creative activities and a snack round out the morning. We keep groups small on purpose, so no child is a face in a crowd.

Growing in character. Our lessons center on who God is and who He's calling our children to become. Kindness, responsibility, courage, generosity. Older children step into leadership by helping mentor younger ones, often their first real experience of serving others.

Serving our community. Our children don't just learn about loving people; they practice it. Each year they take part in outreach projects alongside their families, including serving Thanksgiving meals to neighbors experiencing homelessness and leading our Toys for Tots collection.

Summer camp. Every summer our children head to camp for days of worship, teamwork, and adventure. For many, it's where faith becomes personal.

Safety first. Every volunteer is background-screened and trained in child safety. Secure check-in and check-out is used at every service.

Community Outreach

Every second Saturday of the month, we go out into the surrounding neighborhoods to hand out food, check on families, pray with people who ask, and connect those we meet with practical help. Outreach days are organized by our pastoral team and staffed by member volunteers.

This work often begins a longer relationship. People we meet on an outreach day are pointed toward our food pantry, our recovery ministry, and the resources posted on our community board.

Celebration Recovery

A Christ-centered recovery ministry for anyone dealing with addiction, compulsive behavior, grief, or other hurts and habits that have taken hold of their life. Meetings combine Scripture, group support, and confidential small group discussion led by people who understand the road firsthand.

The ministry is open to the community, not only to church members, and there is no cost to take part.

Life Groups

Small groups that meet through the week in homes and at the church for Bible study, prayer, and support. Groups are organized by life stage and interest, including men, women, young adults, marriage, and recovery focused groups. Each group is led by a trained volunteer leader and follows a study curriculum set by the pastoral team.

Members can browse every active group, see its meeting day, time, and location, and request to join directly through our group directory. Members who want to start a group apply through our leader sign-up, which includes an approval process and leader orientation.
